MEDDPICC · Pull up a chair

Out there, deals run on gut feel.
In here, they run on evidence.

MEDDPICC now lives in the Herd: Work pipeline. Every deal carries a score out of 24, built from what the customer actually said in meetings, emails and messages, not a field somebody filled in.

Grab some shade. In just over two minutes, follow one real deal in our demo company from a single scan to a plan for getting it signed.

Eight areas · three points each

Each area is scored 0 to 3 on confirmed evidence, for a total out of 24.

  • MMetricsThe measurable gain the customer expects.
  • EEconomic buyerThe person who can release the budget.
  • DDecision criteriaHow they will judge the options.
  • DDecision processThe steps and people between here and yes.
  • PPaper processLegal, security and procurement, in order.
  • IIdentify painThe problem that makes doing nothing expensive.
  • CChampionSomeone inside who sells when you are not there.
  • CCompetitionWho, or what, else they are considering.

The demo · 2:15 · with voiceover

One deal. One scan. Every tab.

Rachel Kim opens Redwood Capital Advisors, a deal in her pipeline, and hits Scan now. Everything you see is the product itself, recorded in a live demo company.

Recorded in Herd: Work on demo data. Captions available. The soundtrack in the header pauses while the video plays.

It starts in the pipeline

A pill on every deal. A playbook behind it.

On the Pipeline board, every opportunity card carries a MEDDPICC pill with its score. Click it and the deal opens into six tabs. Here’s what each one does.

1Scan now

One click reads the whole conversation.

Hit Scan now and Herd reads the team’s meetings, emails and messages on the deal, then hands back suggested evidence for each area. On this demo deal, a single scan surfaced 41 new suggestions. Run it again and nothing is duplicated.

2Overview

The deal, told straight.

The score out of 24, how many of the eight areas are confirmed, what’s at critical risk, and the five next steps that move it forward. Every area shows its level, so the gaps are obvious at a glance.

3Coach

The next step, and the exact question to ask.

Coach picks the three weakest areas and gives the seller a next step and the question to ask in the next call. It preps a brief before the meeting and drafts the follow-up after. Drafts are never sent for you.

4Evidence

The AI shows its work.

Every suggestion carries the quote, where it came from, when, and how sure Herd is, along with what’s still missing. The seller accepts, edits or rejects it. A hunch stays a hunch until it’s confirmed.

5Buying group

Who matters, and which seat is empty.

Economic buyer, decision maker, procurement, champion and technical evaluator, each mapped to a real contact. Open seats stay visible. On this deal, the champion seat is still empty, and that’s the point.

6Plan

Every step to a signed deal.

A shared action plan with owners on both sides and due dates, from technical review to contract signed. The value summary captures what the customer gains, in their own words. Once they agree to it, it counts as evidence for Metrics and Pain.

History

It keeps the receipts.

Every score change, who confirmed it and when, plus every stage move and what was still missing at the time. No guesswork. No field-filling. Just evidence.

MEDDPICC, the way it’s supposed to feel.

Evidence, not fields

Scores come from the customer’s own words, with the quote and the source attached. Nobody has to remember to update a dropdown.

Coaching, not policing

The weakest areas come with a next step and a question to ask, so a low score turns into a better next call.

People stay in charge

The AI suggests; sellers accept, edit or reject. Drafts wait for review, and nothing is sent on anyone’s behalf.
